Courtney Lyons 2021 Boston Marathon

It has always been a dream of mine to run the Boston Marathon and I am thrilled to be part of the Massachusetts Fallen Hero platoon for this year’s race. This is has been on my bucket list for quite a while now. The discipline, hard work and dedication from training to having to lean on the mental toughness aspect of what it takes to complete a marathon is something I try to practice and improve each day in my personal and professional life. I know by completing this marathon and surrounding myself with others it will help me grow as a person! I like to think I’m a runner by early morning and a financial planner during the rest of the day! I have a passion for travel and new adventures; anything to get me out of my comfort zone! I am running to honor the local heroes who didn’t come home, to support the families they left behind, to educate our community and to empower our country’s greatest assets; Active Duty Military and Veterans. Having family members, my significant other and dear friends in the service, this is near and dear to my heart. I cannot thank you enough for your support on this journey. Whether it’s words of encouragement or helping raise money for this meaningful cause, I could not do this without your help. Thank you for supporting me, and most of all, thank you for supporting Massachusetts Fallen Heroes.
